This new mouthpiece designed by Aaron Tindall is similar to the AT2U, but with a smaller throat and slightly tighter backbore. It is designed for orchestral F tubas, and has a large cup which is a mixture of a funnel and a bowl with a quite large throat.This is an ideal mouthpiece for an orchestral player using the F tuba. It produces a rich, vibrant sound with plenty of focus. The rim is designed by Warren Deck and is one of the most comfortable on the market. It features just the right amount of widthand bite to give the player a sense of comfort and stability. This mouthpiece produces a rich and vibrant sound with plenty of focus. There is a distinct `shelf' at the bottom of the cup which helps achieve a concentrated power that gives a sound that really projects.
The shank has been very carefully engineered to fit all tubas with the standard `Euroshank'-type fitting. Original lead-pipes from Meinl-Weston and B & S were used in this process. The exact matching of mouthpiece and instrument leadpipe is vital to achieve the correct response from modern German tubas.

Here is the full range:
AT1U is a very large funnel styled mouthpiece with straighter walls into the cup, and has a very large throat diameter at 9.53mm.
AT2U is a large funnel/bowl mixed style cup with the same large throat at 9.53 mm.
AT3U is a Helleberg styled mouthpiece that offers a real ease of playing in all registers on the contrabass tuba.
AT4U is a Geib styled mouthpiece, and is ideal for rotor CC tubas and those looking to add an extra element of upper overtones to their playing.
AT5U is a large F tuba mouthpiece very similar in design to the AT2U but w a smaller throat/tighter backbore.
AT6U is a F tuba piece with a large funnel/bowl mixed style cup, medium sized throat.
AT7U is a medium cupped F tuba mouthpiece and is ideal for use in chamber/solo settings
AT8U is a shallow cupped F tuba mouthpiece that is ideal for all the extremes of solo playing
"I prefer to keep the same rim size, while altering the other aspects of the mouthpiece such as the cup, throat, venturi, and backbore. I am all about muscle memory as the way we do anything-it is ultimately how we do everything. With this in mind, I like to keep the rim size exactly the same whether I play CC or F tuba. I have a new line of tuba mouthpieces, the Aaron Tindall Ultra Series, launched now with Denis Wick. I designed each of the eight models in consultation with Warren Deck in order to meet the challenging variety of situations facing tubists today.
