Fantasy Variations was commissioned and premiered by Toru Miura, internationally acclaimed euphonium player, and a member of the Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra. The piece is based on a 'Yaisamanina (love song) from Ainu Folk-music' which appears as the 'Theme' in the piece. 'Ainu' is the Japanese Aborigine from Northern Japan. An interesting and beautiful piece!
