This spectacular three-part concerto (Contrasti, Romanza and Fugato) for euphonium and symphonic wind orchestra was composed by order of the Swiss euphonium virtuoso Ueli Kipfer who created it in November 2004 with the Swiss Army Band conducted by Jan Cober.

It is only for the very advanced player! It is a magnificent showpiece and pretty unrelenting on the demands it places on the soloist. But for the soloist wanting a spectacular challenge, this is it!!
